Interpretive Programming & Master Planning
∑ St. Matthew School Community Center Strategic Planning, St. Matthew School Community Association, Inc., Natchitoches, LA. Developing the strategic plan for the preservation of this abandoned mid-20th century African-American school, and the creation of a rural community center at the facility.
∑ , Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches, Natchitoches, LA. Through a review of current research and resources and discussions with local stakeholders, assessments are being made of current and potential audiences and interpretive offerings.† The interpretation plan will recommend strategies for increasing and serving audiences with site-unique messages that share key elements of the Cane River story as other historic sites in the historical corridor open to the public.
∑ Interpretation Plan - Wixson Road Log Cabin, Corning-Painted Post Historical Society, Corning, NY. Development of a re-interpretation plan for a dirt-floor log cabin.†† Previously interpreted as a romanticized early settlerís cabin, recent scientific research indicated that it was built in the 1850s and served as inexpensive housing for a rural family coping with hard times.†
∑ Irish Village Master Plan, Irish Cultural & Sports Centre, East Durham, NY.† Joint project with History Behind the Scenes, of Brooklyn NY, providing research and master planning for the development of a new outdoor living history village of mid-nineteenth century Ireland. CVG members participated in historic research, fieldwork in Ireland, the conceptual development of interpretive messages and offerings, design of visitor experiences, and visual renderings of the museum.
∑ Bryant Homestead Barn Interpretive Planning, Trustees of Reservations, Cummington MA. Interpretive planning for the inclusion of agricultural themes in the presentation of the summer retreat home of nineteenth century American poet William Cullen Bryant. This included recommended interpretive offerings and a conceptual design for placement of exhibits in the historic barn.
∑ Naumkeag Master Plan, Trustees of Reservations, Stockbridge MA.† Master Plan development for the historic summer home and landscapes of the Choate family, designed by McKim, Mead & White in 1885.
∑ Mill at Anselma Interpretive and Strategic Planning, The Mill at Anselma Preservation and Educational Trust, Chester Springs, PA. As this site undertook a major restoration, two project phases reviewed resources, assessed interpretive potential, identified current and potential audiences, offered recommendations for immediate improvement of interpretation and visitor services, established a Community Working Group,† and developed an interpretive framework , interpretive plan, and pilot programs.† Several retreats and community workshops were held with board members, staff and community representatives for project development. Planning is underway for a third phase of pilot program testing, interpretation framework testing and refinement, and capacity building with sustainable collaborations.
∑ Laurel Hill Cemetery Interpretive Framework and Overall Program Strategy, Friends of Laurel Hill, Philadelphia, PA. Establishment of Community Working Group, identification of potential audiences and community partners, development of an interpretive framework, plan for collaborative public programs, pilot programs, and plan to use cemetery Gatehouse as a Visitors Center.
∑ Hancockís Resolution Interpretive Master Plan, Friends of Hancockís Resolution & Hancockís Resolution Advisory Board, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, the development of a Master Interpretation Plan for plantation that fed the Baltimore region from the 18th to 20th centuries. The also presents significant Native American archeological stories and is a strategic maritime location on the northern Chesapeake Bay. CVG worked with a large group of county government, historical organization, community representatives, friends of the site and a land planning firm to create a strategic five year plan.
∑ Blacksmith and Gun Shop Project, Delaware County Historical Society, Delhi, NY, furnishing and interpretive plans for 19th century trade shop buildings. Included consultation with topic scholars and experts as well as design and fabrication of interpretive labels for installation in the structures.

∑ Longstreet Farm Orientation Exhibit, Monmouth County Parks, Lincroft, NJ. Exhibit design and prime contractor for the fabrication and installation of the introductory exhibit for Longstreet Farmís living history program.
∑ Farm & Forrest Trail, Hancock Shaker Village, Pittsfield, MA. Research, preparation of text, selection of images, and creation of design and specifications for wayside signs for a new accessible nature/history trail through farm roads, pastures and woodlands. ∑ Barns of the Town of Middlefield, Town of Middlefield Historical Society, Middlefield, NY. Design and fabrication of a temporary exhibit that also traveled.
∑ Howe Caverns Visitor Center, Howe Caverns, Inc., Howes Cave, NY. Design and installation of banners and LCD monitors; planning for historical exhibits.

∑ MVP Kidís Place, The Schenectady Museum, Schenectady, NY, Designed and managed production of a hands-on exhibit experience reinforcing the stories told by the Museumís unique historical collections on industry and community in the 20th century
∑ Wings Over Westville: Cooperstown -Westville Airport 1955 - 2005, Town of Middlefield Historical Society, Middlefield, NY. Designed and managed production of a temporary exhibit on the history of the airport.
∑ Traveling Art Exhibit System, Scottie Baker, Natura, Fly Creek, NY. Designed and managed the fabrication of a traveling sales exhibit system.

∑ Gladstone Building, JGB Enterprises, Richfield Springs, NY. Coordination of a Federal Preservation Tax Incentive program for the restoration/adaptive re-use of a 1880 National Register commercial building, insuring compliance with the Secretary of Interior Standards for Rehabilitation

Creation of a database to work in synchronization with current collections management systems, completion of 426 Painting and sculpture condition reports, and assistance with record keeping in preparation for moving the collections during a construction project.
